THE CITY OF CLERMONT WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR VOLUNTEERS!!

Young Women's Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt

YOUNG WOMEN’S CLUB

Celebrated 44 years as a club in January, 2007

We meet in the homes of club members on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

9 members include:
President – Marcia Wiedenhoff
Vice-President – Teri Wagner
Secretary – Meca Baker
Treasurer – Jennifer Schott
Gift & Cheer – Brandi Wiedenhoff
Historian – Tracy Mitts
Scrapbook – Stephanie Spain

and  Kristy Meyer and Venessa Schneider.

We continue to be very active in the community.

We donate Valentine cookies to area Good Samaritan Homes.

In February, members treat spouses or guest to a night out.

At Easter time we bake items for trays and deliver them to shut-ins in town. We also hold an Easter egg hunt for area children in the Clermont City Park.

Our club keeps Lincoln Park beautified with shrubs and plants.

June is the month that the club holds their Mother’s Supper. Moms or that special someone is treated to a meal and a program.

We host a Civil War Ball at the Opera House to participate in the annual Thunder in the Hills celebration at the Farm Park north of Clermont.

A parade float and Bingo in the park is how we participate in Clermont Festival Days.

A family picnic is held at a special location where members and their families get together to celebrate with food, games, and fun.

Usually in the fall, our club takes a day trip to an area of interest.

Halloween night brings out the ghosts and goblins as we host a party for the town’s trick-or-treaters. This event is sponsored by local businesses, clubs, and individuals giving monetary gifts and prizes.

Treasures & Gifts from the Valley is held in November. This event raises money needed to support community activities throughout the year.

We end our year with Santa coming to Clermont where he visits with children. Every child enjoys a sack of goodies, poses for a picture with Santa, and spends time making a craft.

We are currently overseeing a project of new park equipment to replace out-dated equipment in the Clermont City Park. This is a huge project for us to take on. We are counting on Donors to help with this project.
