The children's room at the Clermont Library received a puppet
theater and puppets, area rug, floor cushions and a jungle scene
background above the lockers from the Ladies’ Aid Society. The
club dissolved its funds during its final meeting this spring.
The society started April 7, 1931 and performed many community
service projects through the years including starting the City
Library. Pictured are seated Noah Larson, Hannah Fox, Gabrielle
Fox, and Loren Fox is in the puppet theater. Pictured are the
Ladies’ Aid Society members: Marjorie Amundson, Joy James, Fran
Hoopman and Dona Lansing. Not pictured is Ardel (Fortune)
Wilcoxen, a former Library Trustee and Ladies' Aid member, who
gave a memorial in memory of her late husband, Charlie Fortune
as part of the improvements to the children's room.
