Clermont Police Department
Instructions for Patrol Request Form Though we do our best with the resources we have the police department cannot maintain a close watch on every property in town. There are times when properties may be in need of special attention such as when there is a potential problem that is out of the ordinary or when the owner is going to be out of town for an extended period of time such as vacation or flying south for the winter. In these situations you can assist in protecting your property by taking a few common sense and simple steps. Ensure your property is secure: all windows and doors properly locked. Leave some lights on, preferably on timers. Eliminate hiding places around the house which may allow a potential thief/burglar to avoid detection by neighbors and police patrols. Stop your mail and newspapers or arrange for daily collection. The only people who should know of your plans are a few relatives, trusted neighbors, your neighborhood watch block captain and the police department.
For alerting the
police department we have a patrol request
form. This form is a PDF document.
Requires
Acrobat
Reader If you do not have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader,
you can download it here: Upon your return or in case your plans are extended notify the police department by phone or in person. We cannot guarantee to be in the right place at the right time but will do our best to watch your property. Have a safe trip. -Clermont Police
